Amidst dusk, gentle fingers ink-stained pour
In a dash of yearning and a pinch of resolve.
Moon-shine o'er yonder leaves covet for more --
Shall it wither, it shall cast swill of hearts' dissolve.
My eyes, haze laden, keep daydreams culled and hung
Your tender gaze, in fresh-blooming love profess'd
And fields of flowering words meekly roll off tongue --
Gild each torn petal a wish; rose-tinted lovers' pledge
O, every face of this tableau lesser than none
Drawn inspiration tracing reveries ago,
And every face worn by your face is one
That takes aim, careens a heartbeat to and fro;
So amidst dusk, our moon-shine spent o'er yonder far
Per divine ordination, two promised to outlive the stars.
